Who we are
New England Tonks was established to breed quality, gentle Tonkinese cats as a family project. We breed Tonkinese on a small scale as a means of helping families to acquire incredible, friendly disposition child-friendly pets.
that will fit in seamlessly with their family. We have enjoyed having Tonkinese, Siamese and Burmese as family members for several decades, enjoying the unique combination of affection, social behavior and intelligence the breeds possess.

These cats are really members of the family, and we go to great lengths to provide the best quality care, food variety, veterinarian services and a socialized environment for the cats and their kittens. We have first and middle school age children who help in caring for our cats, and providing the handling which is so essential to create loving and affectionate pets.

Due to this approach, New England Tonks only produces a small number of kitten offspring each year. Most of the litters are sold through waiting lists, and referrals from previous owners. When litters come along, inspections and selections can be arranged and a deposit paid to reserve your choice, pending nurturing of the kittens by their mothers, gaining sufficient maturity, and vet checking and vaccinations to allow them to go to new homes at the right time.
Our Priorities
Care & Early Socialization
At New England Tonks, the well-being of our kittens is paramount. We provide comprehensive care and socialize our kittens in a family environment as early as possible. This ensures they grow into friendly, well-rounded individuals. By the time they are ready for adoption at around 14 weeks of age, our kittens are, well socialized, healthy companions and ready to smoothly transition into their new homes.
Health
With regular veterinary checks, a high-quality diet and CFA compliant cattery conditions, our cats and kittens' health is our top priority, and we ensure each kitten has all of the care and attention they need to be in their best health.
